Since
I live by the beach, I get very excited when I see Fall colors. This
tree just seemed to glow. We were in upstate Pennsylvania, staying on a
farm. What a different way of life from flip-flop-wearing, easygoing
Florida.

Green Swamp, 6x8 Oil Painting on Canvas by Carmen Beecher
Kathy and I hiked down the Swamp Trail at Silver Springs State Park and crossed a boardwalk through this dramatic-looking cypress swamp. It was a rainy day, but the sun made a brief appearance, causing this dappled light on the green stuff floating on top of the water. One expects a dinosaur to rise out of the murk at any moment.
