Ghost Ship, 20x20 Oil on Canvas by Carmen Beecher


After Florida was hit with Hurricane Irma, this sailboat was found washed up on Melbourne Beach. Authorities eventually discovered that the boat came all the way from Key West, hundreds of miles away. Aboard, oddly enough, were two mannequins, a large velvet rose, and a sign that declared, "beatings will continue until morale improves."

Island Dream, 7x5 Oil Painting on Canvas Panel, Tropical Beach



 I am in possession of a brand-new knee, although it is scary to look at right now. I limped by my easel and noticed this painting that I had not yet posted. I tried to do as much as I could before my surgery, and this one just never got posted. After this, I am completely out. I hope I get inspired sometime soon. I'm not physically ready to paint, but I do have a pen and paper...awaiting a visit from my muse...
