There is a lovely lady surfing the internet and choosing to put the focus on other artisans. Victoria Kloch of Paintslinging has a fun and informative blog in which she showcases the efforts of others. Last week, I was lucky enough to catch her attention. Stop by Paintslinging and check out her blog...I know you will enjoy it.
In other fun news, Laine Lea has a "6 degrees" experience to share that proves what a small world the blogger scene really is. I had a similar experience recently when I visited a blog in South Africa, clicked on a link and found myself reading a story about a Tennessee artist who was writing about a bird-watching area not 5 miles from my home. The Help
The night before the Transformations Artist/Poet event, Cindy Michaud hosted a lovely dinner at her home. Donna Vines volunteered to help with everything, and she showed up in this lovely outfit, with her monogrammed vintage apron and her jewelry. (From left to right, Cindy, Donna, Bob) The Help was the best-dressed person there, and she did a great job with her usual good humor. Donna always keeps us laughing. Since Donna always writes us limericks, I dedicate this one to her:
You showed up in rhinestones and pearls
And your apron would swish and would swirl,
As the food you would pass,
And refilled every glass,
You're the best little Help in the World.

And your apron would swish and would swirl,
As the food you would pass,
And refilled every glass,
You're the best little Help in the World.

Snowglobe Challenge
This is my response to Donna's Snowglobe Challenge. I was lucky enough to get San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities on earth. These challenges are such fun, and the best part is when we all get together to see each other's paintings. We've done the Toothbrush, Egg, Swim Goggles, and others, and I can't wait to see what's next.

Another Snow Globe Challenge
Mary, our water colorist, presented me with her London snow globe painting when we were setting up for a plein air painting session at Ballard Park on the river. We were standing under some old oak trees near a gazebo, with a view of the boat yard. When she handed me the painting it made me realize how lucky we were to be living in such a beautiful area and to be living in a time when so many other beautiful places were available to visit.

Exhibit of Paintings by Mary and her students
The Strawbridge Art League, of which I am a member and from whom I have rented my studio for the last ten years, are sponsoring an exhibit of my paintings, and including works of my students.
The show will run from April 20th through June 7th at the Henegar Center for the Arts, 634 East New Haven Avenue, Melbourne, FL.
A reception will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 2-4 in the afternoon.
I am so honored and excited to be given this opportunity, and hope many people will come and share with me.
The painting shown is titled "Sailboat Race" and is a large watercolor of a race in Santa Cruz in which my daughter and her partner came in second.
